The Sioux County track team has expanded significantly since last year, with the
Warriors now fielding five competitors this season.
Junior Victoria Turbiville, who qualified for state in both throwing events last year, will
lead the relatively young team, said Coach Dan Valenta. Turbiville was the sole Warrior
out for track last season.
Joining Turbiville will be fellow junior Preston Kreman and three freshmen. Kreman
intends to compete in sprinting events, running the 100, 200 and 400 meter dashes.
Zoey Sanderson, Jose Gutierrez and Morgan Randall will compete in their inaugural
track season as freshmen. Sanderson plans to compete in throwing and jumping
events, while Randall will run the 100, 200 and long jump. Gutierrez will compete in
sprinting and jumping events.
